Analisis Perencanaan Kinerja Sistem Trunking Motorola HT Dengan Konfigurasi Repeater Pada Layanan Operasional PT Primacom Interbuana

Analisis kinerja sistem komunikasi radio berbasis digital mobile radio (DMR) dengan metode trunking dilakukan menggunakan perangkat Motorola hand transceiver (HT) dan konfigurasi repeater dual slot pada layanan komunikasi operasional PT Primacom Interbuana. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi keandalan dan efektivitas sistem komunikasi radio dalam mendukung kegiatan operasional perusahaan pada wilayah kerja dengan cakupan luas dan kondisi geografis yang bervariasi. Metode penelitian dilakukan melalui analisis link budget dengan mempertimbangkan parameter teknis utama meliputi effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP), effective radiated power (ERP), free space loss (FSL), dan received signal strength indicator (RSSI). Pengukuran dan perhitungan dilakukan pada lima titik penempatan HT serta dua perangkat mobile rig terhadap base station untuk mengetahui karakteristik propagasi sinyal terhadap perubahan jarak. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui perhitungan teoritis dan kalkulasi menggunakan perangkat lunak perencanaan radio, kemudian dilakukan perbandingan untuk menilai tingkat kesesuaian hasil. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan jarak antara perangkat komunikasi dan repeater menyebabkan meningkatnya redaman sinyal yang berdampak pada penurunan nilai RSSI. Selisih antara hasil perhitungan teoritis dan hasil kalkulasi relatif kecil sehingga menunjukkan tingkat akurasi metode yang baik. Sistem trunking DMR dengan konfigurasi repeater dual slot terbukti mampu meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan kanal frekuensi serta mendukung komunikasi operasional secara efektif.

Performance analysis of a radio communication system based on digital mobile radio (DMR) using a trunking method was implemented using Motorola hand transceiver (HT) devices and a dual-slot repeater configuration within the operational communication services of PT Primacom Interbuana. The objective of this study is to evaluate the reliability and effectiveness of the radio communication system in supporting the company’s operational activities in a working area characterized by wide coverage and varying geographical conditions. The research method was carried out through link budget analysis by considering key technical parameters including effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP), effective radiated power (ERP), free space loss (FSL), and received signal strength indicator (RSSI). Measurements and calculations were conducted at five HT placement points relative to the base station as well as two mobile rig devices in order to observe signal propagation characteristics associated with variations in distance. Research data were obtained through theoretical calculations and simulations using radio planning software, followed by comparative analysis to determine the level of consistency between results. The analysis results indicate that increasing the distance between communication devices and the repeater leads to greater signal attenuation which consequently reduces RSSI values. The small difference between theoretical and calculated results demonstrates good accuracy of the applied analytical method in practice.
